  • For quadrupole part: voltage, current and power amplifiers. Input and output impedances, amplification factor.
    Impedance adapter amplifier (follower amplifier). Decibels, voltage and power gain factor. Application to an audio amplifier chain connected between a vinyl disc reader and a loudspeaker.For complex modelling part: First order R,C circuits : harmonic response (both trigonometric and complex form), magnitude and phase. Transfer function. Complex
    impedance. Circuit computation in complex form. Relationships between complex and temporal forms. Low-pass and high-pass filters.Bode diagram: computation, measure and utilities.     ways loudspeaker filters. Functional simulation with xcos (scilab) Application to low volt systems in networking, integrated systems (CPU, micro-electronics)

Didier Demigny (Uni. Rennes 1) is in charge of this teaching unit and he will teach the 12 hrs lecture courses
This course covers 2 parts: on the one hand, the measurement of the characteristics and performance of quadrupole amplifier chains, possibly including filters, and on the other hand, the use of complex modelling to study the frequency behavior of electrical circuits or filter functional blocks. The construction and operation of Bode diagrams, the functional study of 1st and 2nd order filters are at the heart of this second part. The exercises are coupled with practical exercises (preparation, interpretation) and also functional simulation (scilab) to reinforce learning.
