Overview
The two-years joined Master programme "Biophysicochemistry - Biochemistry and Biophysics" proposed by the University of Strasbourg, France, and the University of Freiburg, Germany, provides an in-depth and interdisciplinary training in biochemistry, physical chemistry, and in high-level physicochemical study and analysis methods. It is addressed to students interested in training that meets the needs of research and industry in the field of the biosciences.
It is well anchored in the Upper Rhine region between France and Germany, which has one of the highest concentrations of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries in Europe, as well as a very high density of public research laboratories in these fields.
Students can spend their first year in Germany and specialize in Biochemistry and Biology, or they spend their first year in France and specialize in Biophysical Chemistry. The second year is dedicated to internships and specialized teaching in the partner country.
The Master is taught either in French and English or in German and English, depending on the choice of the mobility track.
The Master is supported by the French-Germany University since 2013. This support enables us to grant a scholarship of 300 euros per month to every student during the compulsory mobility period (1 year).
