Missions

The Faculty of Chemistry counts among its missions the organisation of teaching activities, the dissemination of knowledge and the development of fundamental and applied research in chemistry as the basis of its teaching responsibilities.

The faculty sets itself the goal to accelerate and elevate scientific culture and research. It gives access to scientific knowledge to those who have both the interest and the ability.

The faculty provides scientific and pedagogic training, fundamental and technological training for future leaders in the chemical industry and inhouse-training of its own lecturers, researchers and administrative staff.

The faculty is concerned with the development of training via scientific research, in close collaboration with the associated research centers.

The faculty contributes to the elaboration and the renewal of educational methods and scientific knowledge. It allows those already engaged in professional life to deepen and update their competences.

To its students, the faculty provides a good grounding in general knowledge in addition to scientific training and this in collaboration with other faculties and training institutions in order to ensure the best conditions to start a professional career in the public or private sector.
